Maintenance Supervisor

FG Deli Group Ltd. located in Langley BC, is the progressive leader in the manufacturing of premium, quality, European meat products.

**Terms of Employment**:Permanent Employment, Full Time

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, leading, and organizing day to day activities and ensuring an effective and competent team of Front-Line Leaders and employees contributing to meet departmental productivity goals and quality standards.

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Provides leadership contributing to an effective team of competent Employees in a manner consistent with FG Deli values, including maintaining a positive environment where employees are effective, productive, and appreciated
- Supervise up to 25 direct reports (i.e., Team leads, Millwrights, Electricians and Power Engineers)
- Oversees the day-to-day operations, including follow-up with the team / contractors and updating Work Order system, to ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner
- Ensures continuous departmental accountability for the Food Safety and Food Quality Plan by ensuring a trained back up is established to maintain activities pertaining to our food safety plan
- Interface with other department managers to manage operational priorities
- Oversee building maintenance; maintaining detailed schedule to keep the building in presentable tour ready condition
- Oversee the work of external contractors to ensure adherence to project scopes, health and safety and food safety standards.
- Implementation of HACCP, Food Safety and Food Quality programs to maintain compliance to the SQF level 2000 code of practice and regulations
- Implementation and training of safety programs and regulations including Work Safe BC regulations and FG Deli Group plant rules and regulations

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Licensed Red Seal Electrical / Mechanical Technical Graduate
- 5+ years supervisory experience & 5+ years in food engineering environment
- Previous experience in a CFIA Inspected establishment is an asset.
- Strong leadership and communication skills (both verbal & written)
- Ability to identify potential issues and solve problems
- Communication and working relationship with team including internal and external customers, experience with coaching and mentoring
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office
- Familiar with Maintenance environment and equipment including implementation, planning and project management
- Knowledge of TPM (Total Performance Management)/ Maintenance programs including Asset Management, Breakdown Analysis, FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), and Reliability Centered Maintenance is an asset
- Analytical skills in problem-solving such as DMAIC, Breakdown Analysis (BDA), FME
- Formal “Train the Trainer” training an asset
