- Working closely with partner Brent Nelson, the Production Manager is responsible for Managing the Production Supervisor and Project Coordinator, scheduling production as well as inventory control. The Production Manager is a knowledgeable individual, with a passion for customized building solutions, delivering the highest possible quality. **Responsibilities**:
- Manages a team of Fabricators along with the Production Supervisor and Project Coordinator.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Sets goals, coaches, and manages the performance of the Production team.
- Schedules projects and determines lead times, utilizing scheduling software and other productivity tools.
- Manages production schedule and jobs, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Manages inventory control of all building products, parts, materials, and shop tools and equipment including:
- Delegate counts and ensures all inventory is accounted for and reported on accordingly.
- Maintains inventory levels to meet production schedule demands.
- Investigates and corrects discrepancies in reported quantities and location of all inventory.
- Assesses inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify and predict trends in demand.
- Identifies and orders project-specific components.
- Reviews project drawings and assemblies for accuracy and constructability.
- Consults with estimators to provide fabrication insights.
- Develop processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Other related duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience managing dynamic teams. Experience managing construction teams is considered an asset.
- Industry expertise, as demonstrated by a minimum of 8 years of experience in construction, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge of the construction industry.
- Experience scheduling using MS Projects.
- Team-oriented attitude.
- Learning and growth mindset; willing to undergo training if necessary.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Tech-savvy, with a particular interest in learning and using various software to assist with effectiveness and efficiency in all areas of work.
