**Qualifications**:

- College Diploma in Office Administration or Medical Office Administration required
- Experience working within an Occupational Health & Safety department preferred

**Principal Duties**:
**Principal Duties**:

- Provides administrative support to the Occupational Health and Safety Department
- Acts as reception to Occupational Health & Safety, greeting and directing traffic as required
- Answers phone inquiries and general requests for Occupational Health & Safety information
- Schedule appointments for staff, volunteers and new employees regarding occupational health matters
- Enters Employee Incident Reports into computer system on a daily basis
- Assists with maintaining and updating health records of hospital employees
- Accurate data entry; compile and distribute reports as requested; assist in preparing presentations and resources
- Assist in preparation of agendas; create and distribute meeting packages; send out meeting notices; record meeting/committee minutes
- Organizes meetings and appointments, including booking rooms and arranging for room set up and equipment
- Support the activities of the Health and Safety Committee as required
- Maintain policy and procedure manuals
- Assists with reporting to external agencies
- Assists with staff scheduling and locking pay periods
- Completes payment requisitions
- Opens and routes daily incoming mail; orders department supplies; troubleshoots photocopier/fax as required
- Other related duties as assigned
