Westwood's residential real estate arm specializes in planning and creating sustainable residential communities in accordance with the real estate industry's most innovative technologies and well-respected methodologies for developing long-lasting, urban communities.
Westwood is looking for an energetic, self-motivated Resident Manager to join our growing team. The position will report to the Property Manager. Duties include:
- General custodian duties and maintain the cleanliness, curb appeal and daily operations of the building.
- Prepare vacant apartments on a timely basis so they are ready for new residents to move in
- Conduct viewings and lease vacant apartments including signing leases.
- Address resident concerns promptly in a respectful and professional manner.
- Coordinate maintenance requirements and work orders in an efficient and cost-effective manner, performing duties when able.
- Scheduling contractors and service work, in consultation with the property manager, and following up to ensure the task has been completed.
- Rent collection.
- Deal promptly with emergencies and unusual circumstances and provide an update to the property manager in a timely manner.
- Other related duties as may be required from time to time.
Your qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years’ related experience
- Team player with great communication and written skills
- Ability to multi-task and follow up promptly
- Individual who can work safely and efficiently with little supervision
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organization and problem solving skills
- Able to lift 20KG
**Salary**: From $34,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Halifax, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
