A valued TELUS client requires a Network Administrator to manage and maintain their network infrastructure, servers and related systems across the enterprise. This role is suited to an energetic, self-starter with foremost network and IT admin skills who can work within a dynamic, forward-thinking organization.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
The Network Administrator will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure IT systems and network availability, security, and optimal performance, providing end-user support and ensuring the integrity of network resources. Specific requirements of the role include:

- Design, configure, monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Implement and manage network security, including Fortinet firewalls & switches, intrusion detection systems (IDS) and network access controls.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and change management logs.
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, including Windows, Linux, and other platforms.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and installing updates, patches, and backups.
- Provide incident response management to address breaches, malware infections, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Provide Level 2 and 3 technical support for IT network and IT systems-related issues as well as provide end-user training on best practices for IT security.
- Create, maintain and test disaster recovery plans for network and server infrastructure.
- Stay updated with the latest network and security trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- This role is well suited to an ambitious self-starter. An entrepreneurial mindset is required.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Post-secondary diploma/degree in technology plus minimum 5 years experience focusing on network and systems administration.
- Proven experience with network security, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Advanced ability to install, configure and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
- Demonstrated strong cyber security knowledge and related experience.
- Competent with virtualization technologies including Hyper-V.
- Fortinet firewalls and switches experience is an asset.
- Azure cloud platform experience will be beneficial.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Start Date: Immediately

Duration: 12 months - likely to extend. Permanent option available.
