**Responsibilities**:

- Working in the Managed Services team, the Administrator will be responsible for implementing and operating a wide variety of managed systems and services. This role will be customer-facing at least half of the time. Rotating on-call will be required.

**Preferred Qualifications**

The Managed Service Administrator will have a minimum of two years of demonstrated experience implementing mission-critical managed services and systems. Your knowledge of both Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks will be an essential component for success. Professional network or server certifications would be a plus. Applicable post-secondary education (e.g., diploma in Office Administration) would be an asset.

**Technical Skills Summary**
- A demonstrated knowledge of both LAN and WAN networking protocols (both Layer 2 and Layer 3)
- Understanding of TCP/IP protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, IGRP, MPLS, VLAN, IPSec, L2TP, etc.
- Knowledge of Internet related protocols such as IMAP, POP, SMTP, HTTP, DNS, LDAP etc.
- Experience working with a variety of Layer 2 and 3 networking hardware from different vendors
- Working knowledge and ability to support servers running Windows Server 2016, Windows 2012, Debian and other forms of Linux
- Experience deploying and operating database servers including MySQL, PostGres and Microsoft SQL
- Experience operating virtualization systems like VMWare VSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, in production environments
- Experience with telephony, Voice Over IP (VoIP), SIP and PBXes, related peripherals, including Asterisk
- Experience optimizing tasks with scripts built in environments like Perl, PHP, Python, etc.
- Experience running production servers in a LAMP Environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
- Experience operating SNMP network monitoring and management systems, preferably Linux-based Nagios
- Working knowledge of security best practices for systems in a mission-critical environment

**Soft Skills Summary**

**Summary of Requirements**:

- Must pass a police or criminal history check - this will be an ongoing condition of employment.
- Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license, be eligible for insurance and maintain clean driving history
- Daily travel between office and customer locations in Ontario may be required
- This position requires a combination of sitting, standing, climbing, walking and moderate to heavy lifting
