Job Summary

To continuously improve the Human Resources department through recruitment, documentation and implementation of Policy and Procedures. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and Labour Relations and is a part of NEXUS’ administrative team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintaining current and up-to-date personnel files and documentation; this may include paper and/or digital file management.
- Keep Job Descriptions current, reviewing and updating as needed.
- Administration and coordination of the Extended Health and Welfare benefits for all employees.
- Facilitate and/or arrange staff Training across the organization.
- Other tasks and duties as required by the Director.

**Qualifications**:

- Education and Knowledge
- Human Resources education and/or experience, preferably in the social sector.

Excellent written and oral communication skills. This includes, but is not limited to: computer skills (including Microsoft 365), ability to write in a business professional fashion, communicate with Managers, other leaders, employees and persons served in a professional manner - one that upholds the standards and values of the Society.Two (2) years recent related experience; familiarity with the social sector considered an asset.

Equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered

Ability to work independently with the pressure of multiple demands and tasks.

Ability to be flexible and organized in a busy environment while managing interruptions
