Supporting our clients, local employers, and communities is at the heart of what we do. **What does Kootenay Employment Services do?** With offices in Creston, Cranbrook, Fernie and Invermere, we administer multiple employment contracts, funded by various stakeholders including provincial and federal sources. These programs are designed to assist local community members to find meaningful and sustainable employment. **The Position** We are currently seeking a new staff member to join us in any of our four locations, on a fixed term, one year, contract. Extension would be funding dependent. **Some of the job details include**: - Review project contract to gain a thorough understanding. - Arrange and implement program promotional and marketing activities - Ensure regionally that program outcomes and results meet or exceed contract expectations - Ensure all contractual reporting requirements are met. - Deliver services directly to clients using online platforms - Work with regional KES staff and subcontractors to ensure clients receive location-based support, if needed - Collect and manage data for project, preparing a final presentation to the funder and regional stakeholders - Monitor project spending, including but not limited to budget management. - Strategic planning for project delivery in collaboration with Regional LEAD Programs Manager **What skills and experience are required for success?** - A post-secondary certificate, degree or diploma in a related field (career or employment development, vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, sociology, human services, counselling, education or human resources management). - Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership or project lead role; - Demonstrated experience providing feedback, teaching skills to others, and developing tools to improve efficiency; - Experience in project planning and implementation. - A thorough understanding of employment or human resources and the ability to research effectively, interpret policy and understand contract language is essential. - The individual in this position must be self-disciplined, self-directed, and able to manage their time effectively and work under pressure. - Strong business acumen. and ability to make management focussed decisions, and contract and stakeholder management. - Experience working with clients with diverse-abilities - Demonstrated experience meeting targets and providing concise, professional reports - Very strong computer skills will be needed to deliver this program **The package** - The remuneration for this position is $27.00 - $35.00 commensurate with experience and benefits including: - Fully employer paid health, dental and vision - Co-Contribution Group Registered Retirement Savings Plan - An incredible EAP which provides counselling, financial & legal advice, family support and more - Your birthday off every year - Walking Wednesday - a paid break to get out into the sunshine (or rain if you prefer) - Higher vacation rates after first year, with ongoing increases up to 12% - An amazing staff engagement crew keeping the fun and food in our offices **To apply**: All applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.
