Junior Product Specialist

We are seeking a passionate, entry-level Junior Product Specialist with a deep understanding of beauty, makeup, and fashion trends. Based in the Vancouver area, you will support our Product Manager in developing innovative software products within the beauty tech industry. This role requires keen market insight, strong awareness of North American beauty trends, and an ability to offer recommendations that enhance user experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Product Manager to support the development of new beauty and fashion software products.
- Assist in the planning and specification of new product features, ensuring they align with beauty-conscious user needs.
- Participate in quality assurance and acceptance testing to validate product effectiveness and usability.
- Conduct user research under the Product Manager’s guidance, including survey design, data analysis, user interviews, and A/B testing to inform product decisions.
- Contribute insights and ideas during the product development phase to ensure products meet the expectations of beauty-conscious users.
- Provide trend analysis and feedback on beauty and fashion, focusing on North American user preferences.
- Assist in analysing product data to inform user experience improvements and strategic decisions.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Recent graduate with a passion for beauty and fashion, actively engaged with industry trends in makeup, hairstyling, and styling.
- Strong understanding of beauty aesthetics and the ability to translate market insights into actionable product suggestions.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and trends influencing beauty and fashion audiences.
- Professional or academic experience in beauty, fashion, or software development is a plus.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Enthusiasm for staying ahead of beauty and fashion trends, with a keen interest in user needs within the North American market.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit for working closely with the Product Manager and development team.
- Creativity in translating beauty and fashion insights into innovative software product features.
- Basic knowledge of user research methods, including survey creation, data analysis, and A/B testing, with a willingness to learn.
- Experience in data analysis and an understanding of user acceptance testing.
