Hiring one Metal fabricator/welder Apprentice

We are looking for 1 new team members with a strong work ethic and a strong ability to learn the skills of the trade. The focus of our work is shop fabrication, welding and installation. There is often a lot of site work and installation. Duties can range from helping with installation on-site to drilling holes or cutting material at the shop.

If you have some previous welding experience or mechanical experience that would be great. We are also open to training. We are open to starting an apprenticeship for hard-working individuals who want to do this kind of work and can prove their benefit to the company.

CWB welding tickets are also an asset as we are a cwb certified welding shop.

A forklift ticket or forklift training will be required. We will pay for the ticket but not for the training time. You should be capable of lifting up to 50lbs at a time in the shop or on site. Site work is part of our work scope and a clean driving record and drivers licence is needed so that you can drive our crew van if needed.
A hard hat and safety stripes will be needed for work at the site.

The usual shift is 4/10s Monday to Thursday 6am to 4:30 pm. Benefits will also be available for full time employees after 3 months.

We are a custom metal shop working on things like guard rails, handrails, Stairs, misc. Stainless items, Smaller Structural assemblies, ladders and platforms, Carts, ramps, racks, frames, etc.

We have a no BS get it done properly mentality and in turn we pay well for exceptional skills and abilities. We need hard-working individuals that can show up to work and follow instructions and drawings. Often we get very busy and overtime can be frequent.

Being a new company, there is lots of room for growth and promotion in a very short period. As we grow there will be other positions becoming available and those hard-working individuals that suceed in their training and develop skills and abilities will be promoted.

Fall protection and Scissor lift/ Genie lift tickets and experience are also required. If you don't have a ticket we can pay for the training but the day's wages will not be paid.
