**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and portioning requirements
- Chop, slice, and dice vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as needed
- Measure and mix ingredients for recipes
- Set up and maintain an organized and clean work area
- Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Restock kitchen supplies and notify management of inventory needs
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient preparation and service
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a prep or line cook in a restaurant or food service setting
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and cooking methods
- Ability to follow recipes and portioning requirements
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic math skills and the ability to accurately measure and portion ingredients
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
