Join our team as a Line Cook at Receiver Coffee Milky Way

We are seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in meal preparation and service.

As a Line Cook, you will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our customers and a supportive team environment with your coworkers.

This is for a daytime cooking position with opportunities to work special evening events. The schedule is consistent with shifts running 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Weekend availability is required. You must have your own mode of transportation to Milky Way—the bus does not run early enough for the opening shift.

**Duties**:

- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies for food preparation
- Prepare meal portions according to recipes and specifications
- Cook menu items ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following sanitation guidelines
- Stock inventory appropriately to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Adhere to food safety regulations and standards at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery
- Run the line independently during peak hours as needed
- Create weekly specials that are in line with menu offerings and brand standards

**Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Line Cook
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in food preparation
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, weekends, and holidays
- Team player with a positive attitude towards colleagues and customers

**Requirements**:

- Must have experience in a full-service restaurant making menu items from scratch**_
**- Must have reliable transportation to and from 15 Milky Way. The bus does not run early enough for shift start times**
- Must possess a WHMIS certificate
- Asset to posses a current First Aid certificate

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
