- **Job brief**_

We are currently looking for Maintenance Technician to join our Food Manufacturing facility based in Mississauga, Ontario. In this position, the Maintenance Technician will report to the Maintenance Manager.
- **Responsibilities**_
- Assist production team with set-up, changeover and in operation of food packaging equipment
- Ensure all safety and work procedures are followed
- Contribute to projects to improve efficiency using automation and ensuring the smooth operation of the facility
- Work with our Quality control teams to ensure all automated equipment meets, if not exceeds, regulatory standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to perform scheduled preventive maintenance of all the equipment using the appropriate job plans and procedures
- Train new hires according to training plan for machine operation when required
- Conducts routine production Line maintenance and repairs such as: replacement of belts, cleaning, and repair of filling heads, troubleshooting performance issues.
- Troubleshoot any mechanical, pneumatic, or electrical equipment failures and repair/adjust them using hand/power tools and work along with Production for alternatives options under downtime
- Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, or replace components such as proximity sensors, photo eyes, PLC’s, HMI
- Responsible for building/facility needs such as painting, cleaning, fire/safety equipment, light bulb changes and other general facility needs
- Maintain and store department inventory, including spare parts and keep records documented
- Other Duties as assigned by senior management.
- **Job Terms**_
- Afternoon Shift: Saturday to Wednesday (12 noon to 8:30pm)
- Probationary Period: 3-months
- Work Location: 7050 Telford Way, Mississauga, ON L5S 1V7
- **Qualifications**:_
- 2 -3 years hands-on work experience in manufacturing, preferred in Food manufacturing.
- Must have knowledge to read electric schematic diagram.
- Must have experience with Multivac equipment's.
- Must have experience of HVAC.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication, written and reading knowledge of the English language.
- Able to work weekends when required.
- Strong multi-tasking and troubleshooting skills with an eye for continuous improvement.
- Strong ability and ability to drive action.
- Strong mechanical aptitude coupled with troubleshooting skills.
- Good understanding of food safety standards and GMPs.
