Job Brief

We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition of our production machines. The job holder will be required to perform a variety of tasks including machine maintenance, repairs, inspections etc.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for repairs and maintenance for designated areas
  • Regular check & inspection on food processing equipment in accordance with Health & Safety Procedures
  • Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a regular basis; inspects belts; check fluid levels, replaces filter etc.
  • Procuring proper parts as instructed
  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required
  • Responsible for installing, dismantling, repairing, reassembling, and moving machinery in our food processing line
  • Other duties assigned

Job Terms

  • Job Type: Permanent Full-time, 40 hours per week, adjustment pending on business need
  • Probationary Period: 3 months or 480 hours, whichever longer
  • Work Location: 2501-A Stanfield Rd, Mississauga ON, L4Y 1R6
  • Shift Requirement: Must be flexible 7 days a week depending on operation needs, Saturday shift required
  • Compensation: TBD depending on experience level
  • Benefits: Group Benefits entitlement upon completion of probation time

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician
  • Electrical background required
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Related experience in food processing equipment is an asset
  • Must have the basic knowledge in Canadian Electrical Code
