**FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY**:
The Maintenance Technician will perform daily maintenance and repair of equipment **accurately, efficiently and safely**. Duties include creating maintenance schedules and repairing any issues promptly before they become costly or hazardous.
**MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Maintains the facilities maintenance schedule
- Performs inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, replacement, repair and maintenance of building fixtures, equipment and fittings
- Performs general maintenance such as painting, filling crevices, general carpentry (such as hanging doors, new locks, architraves, window frames, boxing in, assembling furniture, easing and adjusting windows, replacing handles and similar hardware)
- Maintains the building exterior grounds and parking lots
- Works with IT for deployment of hardware
- Monitors and coordinates with external contractors for preventive/corrective action activities, calibration executions and other related works
- Supervises maintenance related repairs of external contractors
- Maintains equipment and supplies to ensure safe operation of the facility
- Reviews daily work orders and provides reports
- Leads, trains and supervise workers on the proper use of equipment
- Works to implement continuous improvement initiatives / projects
- Complies with safety regulations including (but not limited to):
- identifying and resolving safety concerns within the scope of the role- inspecting and reporting the safety of equipment, workplace conditions and activities
- reporting all accidents or near miss situations
- Proactively seeking out other areas to help when assignments are complete
- Performs other related duties
**EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum of a College degree in Logistics of Supply Chain
- Certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
**EXPERIENCE**:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Maintenance Technician in a Warehouse environment
- Experience in preventative / predictive maintenance methodologies and processes will be an asset
- Experience reading and interpreting mechanical, structural and electrical drawings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially work and excel
