**Position: Accounts Payable Clerk**

**Reporting to: Accounts Payable Supervisor**

**Location: APPS Transport Group - Mississauga Terminal**

APPS currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, this role requires an individual who can work under pressure to meet deadlines, creative and resourceful, good analytical skills in planning and organizing, and strong knowledge of payment regulations and fair credit practices:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBALITY:
**DAILY**
- Print daily or weekly invoices received from Interline Carriers and other suppliers.
- Audit the invoices and if rates do not match then we must follow up with internal and external.
- Process invoices in Interline Payable and in Account Payable
- Handling the phone system daily.

**WEEKLY**
- Prepare EFT and cheque payment to Interline Carriers and other suppliers
- Matching cheques to carrier invoices
- Ordering of supplies
- Filing of payables

**MONTHLY**
- Month end Payable cut-off is 1st week of the following month.
- Reconcile statements from suppliers to AP sub ledger
- Prepare a listing of unprocessed invoices received from carriers with invoice number, date and amount and submit same to Supervisor

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience; **1-3 years direct experience in an A/P capacity; **Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records; **Strong knowledge of payment regulations and fair credit practices**:Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions; **Experience in gathering data, compiling the proper information, and preparing financial reports; **Able to perform moderate to complex account reconciliations; **Strong diplomatic, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills in order to handle late payments and delinquent accounts; **Basic knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls; **Advanced proficiency with excel; **Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy; **Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$47,000.00 per year
