**Opportunity**
Fast Genetics is currently seeking a highly motivated person to fill a permanent full-time
Human Resources Generalist role. The Human Resource Generalist will assist with the daily
functions of the Human Resource department with a large focus on local and foreign
recruitment and selection, benefits, pension, and providing advice and guidance on company
and is ideally based in Saskatoon.

**This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions but is**
**not limited to**:

- Lead local and foreign recruitment, orientation, onboarding, and focus on retention,
- Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee

relations,
- Develop and update job descriptions and job requisitions,
- In consultation with the HR Manager, work to develop and implement recruitment

and retention strategies.
- Develop, coach, and ensure adherence to company policies and practices,
- Responds to inquiries and requests pertaining to Human Resource programs such as

benefits, compensation, payroll, talent development, etc.,
- Administer benefits and pension program,
- Conduct employee training and development,
- Coordinate corporate events such as town halls or team building activities,
- Remain current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new

technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties or special projects of a similar nature as assigned.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and SharePoint,
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license as some travel is required,
- Knowledge and expertise in HR policies and procedures,
- Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills,
- Excellent organization and time management skills,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills,

- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills with an emphasis on collaboration and

coordination,
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent work experience,
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar position would be ideal. A combination of

education and experience will be considered,
