Position Summary
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in local government? The City of Regina is looking for an organized, resourceful, and dedicated Council Officer to support our City Council and its committees, boards, and commissions. In this key role, you’ll provide expert administrative support, ensure procedural integrity, and foster smooth operations for municipal decision-making. From preparing agendas to offering guidance on legislative protocols, you’ll be at the heart of shaping Regina’s governance and community engagement.
Council Officers provide executive administrative support and interpretation, advice and guidance on procedure and protocol to members of City Council and its bodies (committees, boards, commissions). Key Duties & Responsibilities
Requirement to provide ongoing training and guidance to Council, committee members and other City staff to ensure successful committee administration Provide direction to Branch staff for administrative support, as needed There is no formal responsibility for supervision of employees Continual attention and focus prior to and during meetings, as well as minute recording, transcribing and editing responsibilities, require higher than typical visual, auditory and concentration demands Working/Other Conditions
