Hours of work: 100% or full-time (35 hours per week)

Bargaining Unit: CUPE 3012, In-scope

Location: SCIC Office, Regina

Remuneration: Starting at $32.82/hr (Program Officer Pay Scale)

**The Position**

We seek a passionate & visionary Membership & Network Engagement Coordinator to drive membership growth of Saskatchewan-based international development organizations and individuals working globally for social justice. This position will develop and implement programs to increase SCIC’s audience and deepen our engagement with our community. This position will offer relevant capacity-building events to support the _Inspiring Action for Global Citizenship_ project funded by Global Affairs Canada.

This job description outlines the general areas of responsibility and ongoing tasks associated with this position. Specific tasks and priorities may be assigned or modified by management through program and work planning.

**Member Services Duties**:

- Proactively increase membership and ensure member satisfaction
- Maintain up-to-date member contact lists
- Manage annual membership renewal and surveys
- Liaise with members, partners, and relevant regional and international stakeholders
- Provide guidance and collaborative support for member-led public engagement endeavors
- Coordinate capacity and skills-building opportunities for members as required for the _Inspiring Action for Global Citizenship _project, such as Gender Equality
- Ensure SCIC’s development principles, values, and crosscutting themes are integrated into membership and network activities
- Keep abreast of overseas funding opportunities for Saskatchewan-based groups and distribute such information to appropriate members and stakeholders
- Create networking opportunities, explore collaborative opportunities, and attend member’s regional meetings and events when possible
- Lead coordination of annual International Development Week (IDW) Global Citizen Awards and other member-based events
- Lead coordination of issues-based networking events such as the Gathering of Global Minds discussion series, and annual conferences

**Other Duties**:

- Ensure appropriate quantitative and qualitative evaluation data is collected on all membership programs and events
- Work within budget and deliverable guidelines as outlined by funding agreements and as directed by the Executive Director
- Maintain accurate database and records for reporting on Program deliverables, and compile data for Results Based Management reporting as appropriate
- Participate in staff meetings and program planning as required
- Complete regular work planning and reports as required
- Coordinate reporting content for the semi-annual and annual reports
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

**Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements**:

- Completion of a relevant undergraduate degree plus 2-3 years of professional program design
- Experience with member-based organizations is considered an asset
- Experience working with government and non-governmental organizations
- Excellent organizational skills and experience with program planning, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Knowledge of international development issues or practical experience
- Experience working within a variety of cultural environments is considered an asset
- Excellent organizational skills and experience with program planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, including Results-based Management (RBM)
- Ability to be flexible and to work in relatively unstructured situations
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision with multiple deadlines
- Experience or proven interest in international cooperation, non-profit, humanitarian and/or education sector(s)
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a member of a team
