Winpak Division is seeking a **Talent Acquisition Specialist** to join their team based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Our team is seeking a proactive and strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead the full-cycle recruitment process for both hourly and salaried roles. In this position, you will collaborate closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to develop and execute effective recruitment strategies that help us identify, attract, and hire top-tier talent.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Collaborating with Hiring Managers**- Partner with hiring managers to create and approve job requisitions & assist in developing business cases for hiring decisions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers, providing coaching and guidance throughout the recruitment process.
- **Job Posting and Sourcing**:
- Develop and post job advertisements on relevant job boards, company websites, and social media platforms.
- **Screening and Interviewing**:
- **Offer Negotiation and Onboarding**:
- Collaborate and partner with HR to manage the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires.
- **Additional Responsibilities**- Support the development and continuous improvement of recruitment processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, company policies, and industry best practices throughout the hiring process and ensure confidentiality is maintained through recruitment lifecycle
- Support the development and execution of employer branding initiatives to attract top talent & represent Winpak at career fairs, networking events, and university recruitment events to promote the company’s brand and job opportunities.
**Required Qualifications**
- Post Secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent
- Experience managing full-cycle recruitment for a wide variety of roles, including job requisition management, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Experience advising, coaching and educating hiring teams on best practices
- Experience using sourcing methods and tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume
- Experience in a role that required excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively and professionally
- Experience in a role that required organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions simultaneously.
- Understanding of employment legislation, and best practices related to recruitment and hiring.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience proficiently using technology tools such as Microsoft Office Suit (Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and recruitment software & applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Experience in tracking and reporting recruitment metrics to help identify trends
- Experience supporting employer branding initiatives and representing a company at career fairs or networking events.
- Experience in a role that required a high level of confidentiality
- Experience recruiting within a manufacturing, production or similar industry
