**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store.
- Provide leadership and direction to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Manage staffing, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining optimal stock levels.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained and customer queries and complaints are resolved efficiently.
- Assist in financial duties, such as budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing sales data.
- Implement store policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate with the Store Manager in planning and executing promotional activities and store events.
- Monitor and maintain store cleanliness and visual merchandising standards.
- Handle complex sales transactions and provide guidance to staff in resolving POS issues.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager in strategic planning and goal setting.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in pet care and pet products.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a pet-related field.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in inventory management and financial analysis.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Passionate about pets and committed to providing the best possible service to pet parents.
