Quality Assurance Analyst

**Company Summary**:
Cad Railway Industries Ltd. (CADRI) was founded in 1968 headquartered in Montreal. We take pride on being North America’s leader of full-service solutions in the freight, passenger and commuter rail industries in Canada, the United States and offshore. CADRI has other facilities in Calgary, Lethbridge (under the Caltrax banner) and has recently been selected by the ONxpress Transportation Partners association to provide all legacy fleet maintenance services for the Metrolinx rail fleet of approximately 1000 bi-level coaches and 90 locomotives. CADRI’s delivery team will operate and maintain Metrolinx’s rail maintenance facilities in Etobicoke and Whitby, as well as in multiple overnight along with mid-day light servicing facilities located across the Metrolinx train service area.
**Responsibilities**:
**Quality Assurance**:
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality products or services.
- Conduct thorough reviews of product specifications, user requirements, and design documents to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with development and project teams to address and resolve identified issues promptly.
**Audit and Compliance**:
- Perform regular internal audits to assess compliance with established quality standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
- Develop audit plans and checklists to systematically evaluate processes, documentation, and practices.
- Identify non-compliance issues, discrepancies, and areas for improvement during audits and provide actionable recommendations.
- Stay current on industry regulations and standards, ensuring that the organization remains in compliance with relevant requirements.
**Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain detailed records of quality assurance activities, test results, and audit findings.
- Generate comprehensive reports summarizing quality metrics, audit results, and recommendations for management review.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing timely and clear updates on quality assurance and audit status.
**Continuous Improvement**:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives based on identified areas for enhancement.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
**Training and Support**:
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on quality assurance best practices and compliance requirements.
- Foster a culture of quality and compliance awareness throughout the organization.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Quality Management).
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or Auditor in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Certifications in quality assurance or auditing (e.g., Certified Quality Auditor, ISTQB certification).
- Experience with automated testing tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of Agile development processes.
**Salary**: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
