**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager and under general supervision, the Quality Assurance Analyst works closely with other QA Analysts, Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Management to ensure high-quality requirements, designs, development, and releases of solutions software. Performs manual functional and regression testing using new and/or developed test cases to identify system defects and opportunities for improved system quality.

**Essential Functions/Responsibilities**:

- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Understands and adheres to internal methodologies, processes, and procedures
- Collaborates with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Architects, Developers, QA Analysts, and client to support client deliverables
- Reviews and validates requirements and technical specifications
- Creates and maintains comprehensive test cases from documented business requirements and standards documentation
- Executes manual regression test plans for client releases
- Executes black box and white box test cases, including UI, batch, interface, and API level tests
- Create entry level SQL queries involving multiple tables within the database structure
- Troubleshoots and analyzes client reported issues and defects

**Job Requirements, Skills, Abilities, Education, Certification, License, Training**:

- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology (or related field of study) or equivalent work experience
- Strong experience with QA process - evaluating and testing new or modified software programs
- 3+ years conducting manual system and regression tests
- 3+ years of experience in working with Web Based systems with ability to write SQL scripts; must have ability to analyze the logs to pinpoint the errors
- 3+ years of experience with defect tracking tool - Jira preferred
- General knowledge of automated testing tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

**Physical Conditions/Requirements**:

- Position requires the ability to hear and communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
- Uses vision to view screens, create and review documents; requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Capable of using a keyboard effectively
- Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and may occasionally lift and move 25 pounds
