**Job Purpose**

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Mentorship Coordinator supports the post-secondary youth in mentoring relationships with adolescent youth and manages the youth leadership training program.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Works with Africa Centre’s _The Come Up_ to recruit mentees and volunteer mentors.
- Work with collaborators to screen, enroll, orient, train & match mentor/mentee.
- Liaise between and support mentees and mentors.
- Start up and coordinate a leadership training program offered by local experts.
- Collects qualitative and quantitative data for evaluation and other purposes.
- Prepare & maintain volunteer, participant and program documentation and reports.

- Extensive experience initiating, developing, and maintaining partnerships with other agencies and service providers to harness available community resources and participant satisfaction.
- Program evaluation and financial reporting.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree/diploma related to human services.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and a clear understanding of barriers and challenges faced by African immigrant/refugee youth in their transition to adulthood.
- Progressively responsible experience supervising staff in a team or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong writing skills.

**Working conditions**

This is a 20hrs/wk part-time position with hours that may vary according to the work that needs to be completed. Generally, the work week is Monday to Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
