JANA’s Integrity Analysts work on data collection and assessment, data engineering and processing, data governance, data analysis, and subsequent presentation of data analysis and risk results internally and to clients. The Integrity Analysts will be key in identifying risks and threats by analyzing asset-specific information. They must be able to multi-task and work cross-functionally, communicating with all parties involved.
**Responsibilities**:
Data Management and Analysis Work
- Conduct statistical analysis of asset failure data/histories, and make recommendations for modeling the reliability of gas system asset components and systems
- Assists in the creation of data staging, transformation, and validation scripts using SQL
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data-gathering techniques
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Support data quality and governance improvement opportunities
- Work with large volumes of client and industry data (structured and unstructured)
- Ensures pipeline integrity-related issues are appropriately addressed in risk modeling approaches
- Performs risk analysis on specific pipeline assets
- Reviews and analyzes asset-specific information to identify risks and threats
- Performs detailed engineering calculations
- Executes engineering aspects of Integrity Management software implementations
Presentation of Analysis Work to Clients
- Writes reports and provides quality peer-review and release of reports, as required
- Meets directly with client’s business users for demonstrations, project meetings, implementation workshops and training
- Provides training for clients on the risk models and their assessment of the client’s risk
Required Skills & Experience
- University degree, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, or Epidemiology
- 2 years of experience in a position focused on advanced mathematical and statistical techniques (experience with survival analysis or reliability analysis strongly preferred)
- Experience with common data analysis libraries/tools in R or Python and some experience with SQL.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Pipeline operations or risk management knowledge is an asset
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work on tight deadlines
- Must be able to travel in the US and Canada as needed
