**Position**: Operations Accounting Manager

**Location**: Vancouver, BC

Established 30 years ago, Westbank is private real estate development practice, headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. We are dedicated to the creation of inspiring, mixed-use projects, concentrating primarily in our core cities of focus: Vancouver, Toronto, Seattle, Tokyo and San Jose. Our body of work includes residential, hotels, retail, creative workspace, district energy, net zero carbon initiatives, affordable housing, exhibitions and public art, with over $50B of projects completed or under development. As our practice has evolved, we have assembled a collection of cultural enterprises including restaurants, gyms, spas, music venues, private members clubs, fashion, dance schools and food halls, known as the Westbank Ecosystem, which we weave throughout our projects. We bring this ecosystem to life through collaborations with some of the most talented artists, architects, designers and entrepreneurs in the world.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Operations Accounting_
- Review monthly financial statement package, including all supporting documentation for submission to owners prepared by Operations Accountant
- Work with various teams within Westbank, assisting in development of business plans, budgets and forecasts
- Manage cash flow requirements, projecting monthly cash balances and funding requirements
- Coordinate with owners, tax and finance teams to incorporate new entities, when required
- Recommend and implement system improvements for both established and newly formed operations
- Work with Operations team to support the retail, wholesale, and web sales
- Plan and implement front end operating systems, web based system, ensuring integration with backend accounting systems
- Supervision and Other_
- Oversee work performed by Operations Accountant staff in preparing monthly reporting packages
- Work closely with operations team and property managers to maintain an accurate, efficient accounting presentation of the operational activities
- Report to Ownership with financial results and recommendations for improvements
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, legal representation, lending institutions, insurance brokers and others, as required
- Administrative duties including photocopying, filing, preparing, organizing, and maintaining accounting/contract records

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in retail sales accounting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced computer skills as well as proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational skills, ability to adapt to multiple demands, set priorities and achieve results on a timely basis
- Analytical thinker and ability to readily grasp new concepts and adapt to a fast paced, ever-changing environment
- Experience using an ERP system, Xero or Sage 50 is a plus
- Ability to assess operating and accounting systems and controls, providing recommendations for procedural design and implementation

**Salary**: From $90,000.00 per year
