**Community Outreach Transit Team**

**Team Lead**

The Community Outreach Transit Team is a team that is a collaborative project responding to the desire to better support the vulnerable population within the Transit system. COTT involves providing a person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally appropriate response to current social issues arising on Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) property and public transport utilizing a partnership model between Transit Peace Officers (TPOs) and Outreach Workers from Bent Arrow to respond jointly to issues arising on transit.

**Team Lead**

We are looking for a qualified team leader to manage our team and provide effective guidance. You will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members daily. The team leader’s primary role is to provide ongoing, support and supervision to COTT Outreach Workers. The Team Lead is directed towards assuring the quality of service being provided as well as protecting the integrity and respect of staff. The Team Lead position will report directly to the Senior Manager

**Responsibilities**
- Provide leadership and coordination to a team of Outreach Workers.
- Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
- Setting clear team goals.
- Responsible for attending weekly, monthly meetings.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations including staff orientation, training and case load management, coaching staff to meet performance expectations.
- Responsible for on-going direction, guidance, and supervision of staff, as well as our clients. that require our services.
- Provide staff supervision.
- Establish strong relationships with our community partnerships.
- Oversee hourly time sheets/community time sheets.
- Provide day to day support and communication with staff.
- Knowledge in the Indigenous cultural and traditions an asset.
- Work effectively with all other supervisors on the leadership team.
- Assist in creating an effective schedule for seven COTT teams on a weekly basis.

**Education and Credentials**
- 3-5 years of work experience in the human services field is required.
- Degree or diploma in Human Services field, Education, Child & Youth Care.
- Having your own vehicle for transportation is a must.
- Experience working with Indigenous families is an asset.
- Current (within 6 months) Criminal Record check and Child & Family Intervention check, and Driver’s Abstract (without outstanding issues) is required prior to starting employment.

**Salary and Benefits**
- Salary will be discussed at interview.
- Monthly auto allowance.
- Paid sick and wellness days after 3 months’ probation.
- Extended Health Benefit (50/50 cost sharing) after 6 months’ employment.

**Start Date**

This position is to start immediately.
