**Hotel Transition Support Worker**
**Lead Full Time**
**Temporary - 6 months**
**What We Do**
WIN House provides individuals and their children fleeing violence, crisis response and intervention, safe temporary accommodation, and support for basic needs. Clients are offered trauma-informed, client-centered programming and support, access to resources, information, and referrals to community support. WIN House is working towards operating within a low barrier model of care.

This role ensures that all hotel placements receive timely, trauma-informed outreach within 24 hours and ongoing short-term case management until a warm hand-off is made to a longer-term support system. As Team Lead, this position supports consistency of practice, documentation quality, and staff wellness, while acting as a liaison between the team, community partners, and program leadership.

- Complete safety planning, assess broader support needs (housing, financial, legal, health), and facilitate referrals.
- Maintain contact with clients throughout their hotel stay and offer consistent, short-term case management. - Respond to child safety concerns following duty-to-report protocols and engage appropriate services when needed.
- Deliver culturally safe, inclusive services that reflect trauma-informed and harm reduction approaches.
**Team Leadership & Coordination (30%)**
- Provide day-to-day coaching, mentorship, and practice guidance to Hotel Transition Support Workers.
- Support onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development for team members.
- Review and monitor documentation and case notes for quality, consistency, and compliance.

- Support team debriefs, reflective practice, and vicarious trauma prevention efforts.
- Act as the first point of escalation for complex cases or crisis situations.
**Partnerships and Advocacy (10%)**
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with 211 Alberta, hotel management, and local service providers.
- Act as the liaison between front-line staff and community partners to resolve issues, improve coordination, and support advocacy efforts on behalf of clients.
- Ensure hotel environments remain safe, trauma-informed, and responsive to clients' diverse needs.
**Administration, Reporting, and Evaluation (10%)**
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records in line with organizational standards and privacy laws.
- Support data collection, reporting, and evaluation efforts to identify service gaps, outcomes, and emerging trends.
- Prepare summaries, team reports, and updates for management and funders as required.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and inter-agency collaborations.
