Plains is currently hiring for a Maintenance Coordinator position reporting into our Maintenance Manager based out of our Fort Saskatchewan Fractionation Facility in Alberta, supporting the NGL West areas. This position is responsible for liaising with Operations, External Contractors, Maintenance and Project Management to ensure day-to-day maintenance and project management activities are fulfilled.

Key Accountabilities:

- Responsible for coordinating and leading Contracted Services as required or assigned.
- Support on-site scoping and estimating for various contractor services.
- Develop and review Work Packages as per accepted process.
- Review and validate the work scope and estimates submitted by all contractors performing work within the work management scope.
- Responsible for elements of large maintenance projects.
- Subject matter expert as needed for Capital Project research.
- Develop target completion dates for planned work.
- Responsible for Contractor Management Program and managing approved vendors.
- Focal point for facility stakeholders to engage contractor services.
- Collaboration with Facility Projects group.
- Provide competent oversight of assigned Preventative Maintenance duties.
- Stakeholder collaboration required for Planning and Scheduling of assigned scopes.
- Active participant in Continuous Improvement
- Logistics Coordinator for Facility outages.
- Support Budget development and forecasting within areas of responsibility.
- Champion Safety culture and Plains Life Rules. Conduct/participate in critical work package development, pre-job meetings, post-job reviews, job site inspections, contractor audits.
- Support all areas within NGL West as required or assigned.

Required Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Related Trade certification or 2-year Technical Diploma required.
- 5+ years of related Maintenance experience in an operating Oil and Gas facility.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in an operating Oil and Gas facility.
- Ground Disturbance Lvl 2 with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in administration of Budget development and controls.
- Strong awareness of sound procurement principles.
- Project Planning experience would be an asset.
- Vendor management experience an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite of tools.
- Knowledge of Maximo or relevant CMMS.
- Background in Earthworks, civil maintenance would be an asset
- Goal orientated/self-starter with excellent time-management skills.
- Able to positively influence others and lead by example.
- Strong interpersonal skills capable of productive interaction under any circumstance.
- Capable of climbing ladders and stairs.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
- Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
- Primary residency within 120 KM of the Fort Saskatchewan facility is required.
- Standard site qualifications: H2S Awareness, First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, CSE
