The Project Manager role exists to estimate, organize and provide high-level customer care toward the successful confirmation and completion of a variety of tree care services. This requires the estimating arborist to:

- Provide excellent customer communications based on knowledgeable diagnosis, expert information, and recommendations that meet client goals and arboricultural standards.
- Work closely with production and administrative staff to ensure every customer receives the best possible service throughout the sales and production process. Job follow-up is required to ensure work is completed to customer satisfaction with the goal of long term retention.
- Identify and implement sales and marketing strategies to grow the company by building current client potential, generating leads through referrals and renewing inactive client relationships to create profitable sales of company services.

**What you’ll be doing**:
**Project Management**
- Oversee daily operations and create efficiencies: equipment, and supplies.
- Guarantees all crew members are work prepared and fit for duty.
- Ability to mentor, train, coach and provide constructive feedback to Crew members.
- Utilize sales process tools, software, and other technologies to streamline the process for the customer.
- Monitor crew productivity to ensure goals and targets are being met.
- Work closely with each production personnel to ensure the quality and timeliness of jobs sold. This includes showing jobs to production personnel as necessary to illustrate detailed information not recorded in the work order and make follow-up site reviews for quality assurance.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the personnel and equipment required to successfully complete an estimated project and/or service program to high arboricultural standards.
- Emphasize safe work practice standards in day-to-day duties and in all work proposed and performed.
- Adhere to company safety policy including following Arborist Safe Work Practices and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Contribute positively to the overall company team - including office, production and management.
- Respond to emergency situations in a calm and decisive manner with customers and production staff.
- Address promptly and accurately any customer concerns and/or complaints, documenting contact and continuing follow-up in a timely manner until a resolution is achieved alongside the customer success manager.

**Estimating**
- Alongside the general manager, establish personal sales goals and confirmation targets, and then prepare a critical path/plan to meet or exceed these targets.
- Organize estimate requests, appointments, and crew visits in an efficient manner to maximize daily productivity including coordinating with fellow estimating arborists.
- Determine key variables and costs that might affect an estimate and create a contingency plan for each job as required.
- Ensure job costing/estimating is done as per company estimating /pricing systems and procedures.
- Provide diagnosis, expert information, suggestions, recommendations, estimates and proposals to clients.
- Perform a complete inspection of each customer site, considering tree conditions, hazards, site limitations, and plant health care requirements, drawing landscape tree/shrub ID maps outlining properties as needed.
- Utilize internal company software in order to create customer quotations, proposals, and crew paperwork as well as all supporting industry documentation when needed (exemptions, permits, safety, certification, etc.)
- Respond promptly to client communications.
- Call clients at regular appropriate intervals to address client concerns, verify satisfaction, develop new sales, and request referrals.
- Establish a plan for customer follow-ups for completed estimates as well as completed projects, including crew evaluations.
- Review requests for quotations (RFQ’s) and tenders as required in order to provide accurate pricing for submission.
- Create and submit estimates, proposals and bids to appropriate customers such as project managers, customers, and bidding competitions as well as taking steps to be part of high-end customer vendor lists for future tenders and bids.
- Track your personal sales records, goals and/or any other necessary information including an organized account of ongoing dealings with prospects, clients, vendors and suppliers and any other industry contacts you have made.
