Position Summary:
The Tenant Relations Coordinator is responsible for facilitating a positive relationship between management and tenant, and among tenants; and to maintain appropriate documentation and records regarding each of the tenants. These responsibilities are managed in accordance with the guidelines established by the Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education/Certification**:

- Post-secondary education in Human Services other related disciplines an asset
- High School diploma required
- **Experience**:

- Experience in mental health and/or working with vulnerable populations is required
- Previous landlord experience is an asset
- **Knowledge, Skills and Ability**:

- Knowledge of Manitoba Residential Tenancy Act and Guidelines an asset (or willingness to learn)
- Knowledge of mental illnesses/mental health issues and recovery
- High functioning Microsoft Office competencies (Outlook, Teams, Word & Excel)
- Compassion and interest in working with individuals with mental health needs, specifically in social housing
- Knowledge and understanding the value of working with a diverse population
- Ability to communicate within a computerized environment (heavy usage of computer & cell phone)
- Excellent time management, organizational and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; including taking initiative when issues arise
- Ability to maintain a positive regard and foster respectful, supportive, trusting relationships
- Demonstrated flexibility and creativity
- Knowledge of community resources

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the collection of rent, condition reports, the signing of all lease agreements, i.e., new and/or renewal, as well as the termination of lease agreements whether voluntary or by eviction; and maintains accurate records.
- Collaborates with the Housing Support Worker to address mental health concerns and/or behaviours of tenants to help maintain their housing.

**Salary**: $16.00-$19.50 per hour
