As one of Canada’s largest office furniture manufacturers and distributors, Heartwood Manufacturing Ltd. (est. 1985) and Heartwood Distributors Ltd. are distinguished from other competitors because of commitment to quality, innovation and service.

We require a dedicated **Sales Representative,** focused on representing us to our current and potential dealer network in British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest United States.

Skills and Abilities
- Possess strong communication skills and be a self-motivated sales leader with a high level of personal integrity
- Comfortable working with and selling to dealer salespeople, dealer principals and chain store merchandisers alike
- Highly organized, articulate and presentable, with a strong work ethic, and very comfortable prospecting for new business opportunities
- Good familiarity with common sales software and tools such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Contact Management. Experience with drawing programs such as Giza, Project Matrix, CET an asset.

Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell the company’s products to existing dealers within the territory
- Grow the business by prospecting and opening qualified new accounts
- Educate dealers on product offering and services we provide through group presentations, individual meetings, webinars and any other suitable formats
- Achieve budgeted targets for sales, by:

- maintaining a regular schedule of contact with customers
- ensuring that customers are familiar with the full range of Heartwood’s product offering
- keeping customer’s knowledge of regular and promotional product pricing current
- familiarizing customers with available support services, including space planning design and web-based support

**Qualifications**:
University or College graduate preferred with a marketing, business or design degree

At least 3 years relevant territory sales experience (furniture industry experience preferred)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
