**Job Overview**

The Recruiter reports to and takes direction from the HR/LR Director. The primary responsibility of the Recruiter is assisting with the day-to-day operations of the project human resources function.

**Responsibilities**
- Conducting interviews and sorting through applicants to fill open positions.
- Identifying future hiring needs and developing job descriptions and specifications
- Assists in the administration of the hire-on process, including validation of site pre access requirements and compiling new hire packages
- Performs a variety of duties to assist with employee orientation and logístical arrangements
- Assists in administrating and conducting site training requirements
- Addresses apprenticeship questions and issues
- Addresses and solves problems brought forward from site craft and staff
- Works with the client on human resources issues that arise and ensures client requirements are fulfilled
- Completes data entry and administration duties for new and current employees and assists with maintaining human resources record systems
- Compiles statistical data related to various human resources areas such as orientation numbers, training, turnover etc.
- Prepares and produces various reports for human resources and project management
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma majoring in Human Resources
- Minimum of 2 years’ recruitment experience
- Working knowledge of employment law and legislation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable making decisions independently
- Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems
- Ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders
