(1 position/1.00FTE) **Salary Range**: $1,151.25/week -$ $1,316.34/week **Contract**: ASAP to no later than August 18, 2025 **Location**: St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Learning Centre 8:00 am - 4:00 pm The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) is a dynamic Catholic school board committed to the delivery of quality educational programs and services from a Catholic faith perspective. DPCDSB, one of Ontario’s largest school boards in Ontario, is comprised of approximately 73,000 students enrolled in 151 schools (125 elementary and 26 secondary) throughout the diverse GTA municipalities of Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, and Orangeville. DPCDSB employs approximately 8,000 faculty and staff to deliver and support its Catholic educational mission. Position Summary Under the direction of the Supervisor/Designate, this position is responsible for providing cataloguing and technical systems support for the day-to-day operations of the department. Responsibilities include: cataloguing library materials according to professional standards; providing technical support for maintaining the integrated library system functions of the Board; and may provide in-school support to Teacher-Librarians with cataloguing and library management. Maintaining confidentiality is a requirement of this position. This description is a summary of the typical functions of the job and is not to be considered an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible job responsibilities, tasks, and duties. **Basic Qualifications**: **The basic qualifications for this position include**: Two (2) year Diploma in Library and Information Technology from a recognized college/university Three (3) years relevant experience Proficient in the use of Board provided computer-based technologies to create, manipulate, store and retrieve information, and communicate with others Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle Expert knowledge of Canadian Subject Headings (CSH), Dewey Decimal System, Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2R), Sears List of Subject Headings, and MARC bibliographic and authorities format. And Evidence from previous work history of satisfactory attendance and punctuality ALL new employees will be required to submit a current original criminal background check (CBC) including a "Vulnerable Sector Screening" (VSS) issued within 6 months prior to commencing employment with the Board.
