**Full Job Description**:
Our new walk-in clinic is looking for an Experienced, friendly and professional Medical secretary with excellent customer care to provide superior customer service in our clinic. Greet patients and visitors in friendly and professional manner both in person and over the phone.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Register patients and provide guidance for completion of all necessary paperwork relating to their medical appointment.
- Facilitating clinic work flow by bringing patients to rooms and communicating with practitioners and other staff members.
- Maintaining and updating patient records, scanning documents into patient files.
- Keep the lounge, kitchen and treatment rooms tidy and clean throughout the day.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with all team members to provide a welcoming and client focused environment.
- OHIP verification ,patient billing and payment collection.
- Stocking and cleaning exam rooms and patient reception areas.
- Ordering of office/medical supplies.
- Manage Physician Messages/Assigned Tasks.
- Complete other duties as assigned by physicians.
**Qualifications**:
- Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
- 2 years experience as medical secretary is a must.
- EMR experience is desired preferably with the Accuro EMR however we will provide training.
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario Ministry of Education.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, practitioners and coworkers.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Ability to complete high quality work in compliance with clinic standards
Please note this position may require long periods of being on your feet as well as some light lifting.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
