**The Opportunity**

The Quality Consultant, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) builds strong relationships with key partners and is responsible for a range of activities including leading the IPC Accreditation team, monitoring and surveillance, outbreak management, assisting in the collection of infection prevention and control data and statistics, education and implementation of best practices, policy development and quality improvement.
**Educational and other Qualifications**
- Minimum of five (5) years recent clinical experience, preferably in long-term care, continuing care, community care or acute care
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred; IPAC course accepted
- Experience in quality improvement, and patient safety
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Current registration with CARNA
- Qualifications in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety preferred
- Travel is required to care homes
- A personal vehicle is required

**Requirements**:
- A current and clear Criminal Records Check Form and if applicable a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
