**Position Overview**
As a Youth Board Member, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to provide strategic guidance, advocate for youth, and help shape our programs. Your fresh perspective will be crucial in ensuring our services truly reflect the needs of the youth and families we serve.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Advocate for youth needs in board discussions and decisions
- Participate in strategic planning and policy development
- Engage with the community as an ambassador for Open Doors
- Support fundraising and outreach initiatives
- Bring innovative ideas for community involvement and support
**Qualifications**
- Age: 18-24 years old
- Passionate about youth advocacy and community service
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate
- Willingness to learn about non-profit governance and wraparound services
**Commitment**
- 1-year term (with option for renewal)
- Attend monthly board meetings and participate in committee meetings as needed
- Engage in community events and initiatives supporting Open Doors' mission
