The Open Doors, a non-profit charitable organization serving East Central Alberta since 1998, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors. Help us offer hope and support to youth, adults, and families in need through our holistic wraparound approach

**About Us**

The Open Doors is committed to supporting vulnerable youth, adults, and community members across East Central Alberta. We utilize a comprehensive wraparound approach to provide individualized care and support. Our board members play a crucial role in guiding our organization's mission and ensuring effective governance.

**Position Overview**

As a volunteer Board Member, you will:

- Provide strategic leadership and advocacy for our wraparound services
- Develop policies and oversee financial health
- Participate in fundraising and community engagement
- Attend monthly board meetings and committee meetings

**Qualifications**
- Passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and families
- Understanding of or willingness to learn about wraparound services
- Experience in non-profit management, youth services, social work, mental health, finance, law, community engagement (preferred) or fund raising (preferred)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to ethical integrity and collaboration

**Time Commitment**
- Two-year term (renewable)
- Monthly board meetings
- Committee participation as needed
- Attendance at community events and fundraisers

**Key Responsibilities**
- Strategic planning and policy development aligned with wraparound principles
- Financial oversight and resource development
- Advocacy for Open Doors' mission and holistic approach
- Active participation in board discussions and decision-making
- Ensure the organization maintains its commitment to wraparound services
