On behalf of our large, public-sector client based in Vancouver, Ignite Technical Resources is seeking a Security Analyst to assist client’ cybersecurity operations team with incident detection, investigation and response, as well as day to day operational duties. The initial contract is for 12 months with extension potential.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- A minimum (three) 3 years of working experience in Information Technology with at least one (1) year in cyber security or equivalent.
- Good understanding of SOC (Security Operations Center) operations and Incident handling.
- Practical experience with Malware detection, removal, and Phishing investigations
- Knowledge and experience with EDR and SIEM
- Must be familiar with cyber defense tools for continual monitoring and analysis of system activity to identify malicious activity

**Nice-to-Have**:

- Utilities industry experience
