**Position Overview**:
- As a Financial Analyst, you will be working with the Accounting Manager and the Finance team, you are responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and taxation. We are looking for an experienced financial analyst to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, financial risk management, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Working on assigned duties related to month, quarter, and year-end closes (preparation of journal entries including accruals, adjusting entries, intercompany transactions, expense allocations, balance sheet account reconciliations, and balance sheet and income statement analysis)
- Assisting in the preparation of internal and external consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Assisting with year-end audit planning and liaising with the auditors
- Researching and documenting technical accounting matters
- Develop and document processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Assisting with the preparation and tracking of the budget and forecasts
- Assisting in building best in class finance services center to support the business
- Preparation of government returns for Canadian entities (WCB, GST/HST, income tax, etc.)
- Assisting with billings and A/R collections
- Perform special projects, other ad hoc analysis, and tasks as assigned
- Collaborate with the finance team and other business units on ad-hoc projects as required
**Requirements**:
- CPA student or recently designated or degree in field of Finance
- Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
- Takes initiative and has strong interpersonal and team-building skills
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel
- Flexibility to assist with various tasks within the finance and operations environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
