**Job Summary**:
As a Technical Solutions Application Specialist you find success on account of your entrepreneurial spirit and you will play a lead role in the development and delivery of solutions to our MRO customers. You know and understand our customers and their business and can present them with personalized solutions that solve their greatest challenges. You are a key contributor to the design of highly reliable, safe, and innovative solutions working alongside our Technical Services and Distribution teams. You will own the entire sales cycle of complex sales from the development of an opportunity through to the delivery of a solution to the customer.

**Accountabilities**:

- Take ownership of complex projects from concept to completion
- Collaborate with teams across the organization, as well as vendors, to develop and deliver solutions to customers
- Write and present technical proposals to customers
- Provide support and expertise during project commissioning and aftermarket
- Provide internal and external consultation on projects
Stay abreast of the latest technologies while looking for opportunities to enhance Applied’s products and services offerings
- Participate in sales planning with Distribution team; develop sales targets and provide pricing and gross margin recommendations
**Skills and competencies**:

- Mechanical Aptitude (P.Eng or CET in relevant discipline preferred)
- CFPHS (Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist) would be an asset
- Extensive knowledge in Fluid Power or BPT (Bearing & Power Transmission) products
- Demonstrated ability to manage a sales territory with emphasis on industrial equipment
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with many stakeholders involved
- Demonstrated understanding of industrial markets in Western Canada
