Application Security Specialist

Description of Services
- Assist Departments in assessing, selecting, implementing and verifying the effectiveness of security controls.
- Vulnerability assessment interprets and compares results against the various business processes to determine whether the perceived vulnerability is indeed valid, is a false positive or whether other security controls address the perceived vulnerability.
- Determine if the protective controls of a given IT system can be bypassed by actively exploiting identified weaknesses.
- Provides evidence (sometimes to an unbelieving audience) that vulnerabilities can be exploitable.

Some activities include:
The Application Security Specialist is responsible to:

- Lead the security conceptual, logical, and physical architecture for the SAP cloud platform products, including S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, etc.
- Security architecture includes but is not limited to Identity and Access Management, Directory Services, Security Integrity Services, Encryption Services, Perimeter Flow Control, Managed Detection and Response.
- Align the Security Architecture in alignment to the security standards and specifications
- Support the System Integration Partner in their implementation in alignment to the security architecture
- Translate business, technology, risk, and security requirements into technical controls and solutions in the future state architecture
- Develop security risk mitigation controls to be included in the security architecture design
- Define the scope of security components within the project including plans for costs, efforts, and timelines
