**Fresh Start Foods Canada Ltd. **was founded in 1993 to provide Foodservice Customers with a fresh alternative. An outstanding supply network, efficient distribution through our four regional locations, and our thoroughly modern processing plants are all part of our commitment to provide the freshest fruits and vegetables possible. We are currently seeking a full time **Cost Analyst **to join our team, based out of our **Milton, Ontario head office.** **Costing**: - Work closely with the manufacturing/value added department team, to obtain inputs into the cost models and to review and analyze standard costs and bills of materials for completeness and accuracy - Analyze monthly actual costs to ensure standards are in line - Analyze data and develops reporting for management use as appropriate. - Review and analyze various cost trends over time - Time studies to be performed on a regular basis, on manufactured product - Be aware of and understand how changes in raw materials costs could affect costs and gross margins. **Pricing**: - Analyze costs associated with new products and review if products fit into the business strategy - Determine customer pricing based on margin guidelines and suggest retail prices based on sales targets - Update and maintain pricing - Maintain and recommend product rationalization of current sku's and set-up regular reviews - Performs other duties as assigned **What you bring to the Fresh Start Foods Table**: - Degree/diploma in Accounting or Finance - Heightened analytical skills and problem solving abilities - Advanced Excel skills (i.e. pivot tables, Vlookups) - Detail oriented and strong multi-tasking and time management skills combined with initiative and flexibility. - Superior verbal and written communication skills combined with the ability to effectively debrief senior management. - Ability to manage time effectively and compile information in a timely way - Proven ability to successfully establish and maintain supporting relationships with other departments. - Ability to work independently and value being part of a team. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume and changing environment, paired with a "roll up the sleeves" attitude **What's in it for you**: - Team based work environment - Competitive Salary - Medical, Dental, Vision (after 30 days of continuous service) - Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRPS) Program - Company Match Up to 3% - Employee Purchase Program - Opportunity for advancement - Company sponsored events (Family Picnic, Staff Celebration, BBQ’s) **Fresh Start Foods** is an equal opportunity employer who strives to provide an inclusive work environment that involves everyone and embraces the diverse talent of its people.
