Cheme is looking to add to their team of dedicated professionals that are “Passionate about what we do and how we do it A place where you will be challenged, supported, and given the freedom and ownership to thrive." **The Role**: This role typically involves a hybrid working style, working from either the Campbellville (Milton) or Vaughan office 4 days per week. **Key Responsibilities**: - Financial Analysis and Reporting:_ - Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances. - Prepare detailed financial reports for management review. - Support budgeting and forecasting processes. - Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. - Accounting:_ - Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports. - Perform month-end and year-end closing activities. - Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data. - Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits. - Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. - Ensures all financial transactions are accurately recorded, documented, and reviewed according to company policies and GAAP. - Compliance and Risk Management:_ - Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards. - Identify and mitigate financial risks related to projects. - Maintain internal controls and support audit processes. - Project Cost Control:_ - Monitor and report on project expenditures and variances. - Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost optimization. - Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures related to project management. - Collaborate with project managers to track project progress and financial performance. **What You Bring**: - Proven experience with financial modeling and data analysis tools - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience in project-based industries such as construction, engineering, or manufacturing is a plus. - Experience with project cost controls is a plus. - Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus. - Post secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - This role typically involves a hybrid working style, working in an office (Milton/Vaughan) for a minimum of 4 days per week. **Why Join Cheme?** - Cheme continually invests in people through career planning, training and development, and mentorship.
