**Position Overview**:**

As a Fiber Coordinator, you will maintain Xplore’s Fiber Network across Canada by doing fiber availability checks, fiber allocation and splicing, assigning circuits and ensuring the connectivity is intact. You will provide support to various teams across the organization with the completion of daily fiber related requests. This is a remote position.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Fibre records management and fibre network documentation including fibre splicing, fiber counts and allocation, circuit and span coupling assignments
- Generate fibre availability and splicing documents for various teams across the company
- Maintain detailed splice records that come in various formats from vendors
- Participate as lead for certain phases of complex fibre network projects
- Provide support for the implementation of the new fiber build / extension plans
- Manage incoming escalations and use discretion to communicate to relevant team(s) to mitigate and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Assist with the implementation of new processes to support business needs
- 5 years experience in Fiber Splicing & Coordination
- 2 years experience in CAD & GIS experience
- 5 years experience in MS Office suite of software
- 5 years experience in understand and utilize technical drawings and plans
- 5 years experience in Telecommunication experience
