**SUMMARY**
The position is responsible for providing a wide variety of administrative and support functions to BCFSA’s busy Communications Team. The Communications Assistant plays an integral role in ensuring core systems and processes are functioning to support proactive, effective initiatives.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
Reporting to the Manager, Communications this role is responsible for the following:

- Assists with monthly organizational meetings and quarterly Town Halls by providing administrative, organization, and graphic design support.
- Prepares internal and external communications materials including regulatory instruments, intranet posts and website forms.
- Monitors and answers communications inbox as well as handles the organization of files and team project planner.
- Ensures social media accounts are active and maintained according to organizational policy.
- Handles mocking up and distribution of newsletters and e-blasts across the organization and to all sectors.
- Schedules meetings and stakeholder consultations, manages calendars and supports event planning and related materials.
- Supports the management of BCFSA website and microsites.
- Prepares surveys for both internal and external audiences using Alchemer and Survey Monkey.
- Basic website support such as copy updates, basic page creation and file management.
- Intranet post creation along with file and metadata maintenance and management

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Exceptional command of written English is a requirement including excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Intimate knowledge of CP style while also adapting to a house style
- Ability to turn complex matters into simple, accessible content.
- Experience working with Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Quick learning abilities and adaptability
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
