**Assistant Food & Beverage Manager**

The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will work in conjunction with the Director of Food & Beverage to execute the daily Food & Beverage operations at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel. This will include managing on the floor as well as assisting with training, administration, and employee relations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Help manage the daily Food & Beverage operations
- Actively participate in the ongoing development of all hotel outlets
- Help develop, implement, and continually improve service standards.
- Assist with the Food & Beverage departmental administration including scheduling
- Motivate and engage team members to deliver the best possible service consistently always.
- Actively participate in departmental meetings and other team member meetings as required.
- Resolve guest concerns/issues efficiently and courteously to prevent a reoccurrence and ensure guest will become a repeat customer.
- Ensure appropriate food and beverage management coverage on weekends and holidays in the outlets to ensure consistently high levels of guest service are maintained.
- Morning, evenings and weekend work is required.
- Assist in inputting daily sales and labour for tracking purposes

**Qualifications**:

- 2 years of experience in a similar environment is required
- 1 year of leadership experience within the food and beverage industry is required
- Post-secondary education in hospitality management preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, methods, practices and techniques as they relate to all areas of food and beverage specifically in a pub/bar environment.
- Sincere customer focus and true appreciation for the guest experience.
- Highly organized, goal and results oriented with ability to execute plans and manage change.
- Effective decision-making abilities coupled with sound judgement.
- Strong personal integrity with an innate desire to work in an ethical manner.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

- Victoria, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Food & Beverage: 2 years (preferred)
- Leadership: 1 year (preferred)
- Luxury Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
