**Habitat Food Services is in search of a highly motivated F&B Associate to join our talented team of people**

**Job Purpose**:
Habitat Food Services is a from-scratch kitchen, cooking global cuisine. You will be joining a supportive and passionate team that works together to create and serve delicious food with superior guest service through the Habitat Café as well as at events. The F&B Associate will work as part of a close-knit team to provide exceptional customer service, food and beverage service, and event set-up and take-down support.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greeting our guests as the first point of contact for our business and providing a welcoming and positive environment.
- Creating memorable and lasting guest experiences by providing outstanding customer service.
- Working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, tidiness and safety.
- Maintain product knowledge and be able to communicate product knowledge with guests so that they may make appropriate choices.
- Handling cash and managing transactions through a POS (point of sale) system.
- Contributing and participating within a team of positive, high-achievers who care about their guests and the company they are representing.
- Such other and unrelated duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Employer.

**Education, Skills and Qualifications**:

- Previous service industry experience, ideally in a catering and events environment.
- Food Safe and Serving It Right certifications required.
- A welcoming, positive, and customer-focused personality with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and within a close-knit team
- Valid Class 5 drivers license (required for catering assistance).
- Ability to closely follow receipts and consistently produce amazing results.
- Has a deep love of food and the belief in its ability to motivate, inspire, educate and entertain.
- POS (Point of Sale) experience is valuable.

**Position Details**:Full-time, 30+ Hours of work per week. The position will work 6-hour shifts starting at 9am in the Habitat Café during normal operation, with additional hours gained from catering. Flexibility is preferred to be able to work outside of these hours occasionally and as needed.
