**About Potash**
- The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon. BHP’s CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles.

Jansen's construction will take place over several years with first production planned for late 2026. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. **Purpose**

**About the Role**
- To be successful in this role, you will:

- Lead a high performing team that is responsible for defining strategies and roadmaps, setting standards and processes, and measuring performance across the Technology function that supports the Potash Asset and Jansen Operations.
- Oversee the translation of business objectives into actionable plans, and ensure progress is tracked to ensure commitments made to our customers are met.
- Oversee the development and management of the portfolio of technology work, ensuring that the Technology function is contributing to the development of Asset and Operations plans and budgets.
- Oversee the delivery of technology studies and evaluate new demand for technology services to feed the pipeline of technology projects.
- Ensure that standards are set for technology service management and asset management at Potash, aligned with BHP Technology processes and procedures, and that performance is measured and managed.
- Oversee the planning and execution of operational readiness activities for the Technology function to ensure that the function is ready for operations to commence at Jansen.
- Oversee the Technology team’s cost management activities to ensure that both operational and capital costs are effectively managed at the portfolio level.
- Establish a technology engineering capability for Potash and ensure governance of the technology engineering blueprint.
- Ensure that data driven insights are provided to the technology team to drive action and decision making.
- Make evidence based and strategic decisions in alignment with longer term business objectives.
- Engage and manage relationships with a range of diverse internal and external customers.
- Conduct presentations and facilitate workshops using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the team and our customers.

**Work Location**
- This position will be based in Saskatoon. The associated work schedule will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.

**About You**
- To be considered, you will need:

- Experience leading teams responsible for setting standards and providing governance, defining portfolio level strategies and plans, and reporting on performance in alignment with organizational standards and requirements.
- Experience in leadership roles, working within a technology function for a mining company.
- Experience in working with and/or providing governance and oversight of agile & waterfall project management methodologies.
- Experience in working with and/or providing governance and oversight of IT & OT service management & asset management.
- Ability to develop technology engineering capabilities and governance.
- Ability to develop and communicate insights that guide data-driven action and decision-making.
- Ability to build a high performing team.
- Experience developing an environment of trust and collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to engage with internal and external customers.
