**Full Job Description**
The Warehouse and Field Services Manager is responsible for managing the operation on a daily basis and the management of personnel and physical resources to achieve the team and facility key performance objectives. While maintaining contractual service level and adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. The individual will manage and motivate the team by giving direction and leadership, monitoring performance to ensure the facility achieves high performance levels for the purpose of ensuring the provision of an effective and efficient quality service to our customer. The Warehouse and Field Services Manager is a key position within our company that is also responsible for providing direction and supervision to warehouse, administrative staff, delivery crews and installation teams members to carry out their daily activities to meet client demands in a timely manner while performing tasks safely and effectively.
- Supervises a team of department administrative staff, material handlers, warehouse delivery crews and installation teams to ensure work is performed as per company and client standards and specifications.
Job Duties
- Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the assigned facility
- With the assistance of the Senior Management team, develop and recommend an annual operating budget and business plans to support strategic goals and objectives
- Analyze and review financial, labour, operational, administrative and other reports and plans on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
- Ensures the installation team performs installation activities to specifications. Investigates concerns reported by client or install team. Determines and coordinates corrective action if needed.
- Supervises a team of department administrative staff, material handlers, warehouse delivery crews and installation teams to ensure work is performed as per company and client standards and specifications.
- Oversees the scheduling of the installation team and rollout of programs.
- Responsible for the department fleet management, transportation and logistics required to complete customer scope.
- Initiates Request for Quotes (RFQ’s) to 3rdparty vendors for quoting to fulfill installs, and projects
- Monitors projects and ensures completion of all tasks accordingly to timelines.
- Plan and schedule all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, to ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient manner
- Ensure current and accurate inventory management.
- Plan long range labour requirements based on sales forecasts and input from direct reports
- Strive for continuous improvements in all facets of warehouse operations in support of Operational Excellence initiatives
- Monitor the space layout plan to ensure it continues to meet company standards
- Ensure warehouse management system’s procedures are adhered to and the WMS is functioning optimally
- Work with executive team to optimize warehouse space and outside logistics storage
- Comply with all ESA and OHSA regulations to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property
- Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, and equipment
- Ensure all Material Handling Equipment is in good working order and all preventive maintenance is done
- Ensure cleanliness of building and scheduled maintenance is performed in a timely manner
- Support all direct reports, ensuring they have adequate training, assisting with issues and serving as a point of escalation
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of reports regarding warehouse operations
- Prepare, maintain, and communicate all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure they are adhered to
- Ensure exceptional customer service and solid customer relationship by achieving KPI's and implementing processes to deliver quality solutions
- Provide leadership and direction through coaching, mentoring and developing direct reports; establish annual performance objectives, conduct performance assessments and identify opportunities for skill development
- Lead a high performance culture, mentoring, succession planning and developing
- Collaborate with HR toensure staff levels are correct, interview and approve new hires
- Performs other duties as required.
